The Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors of Ghana (ABCECG) was formed about thirty-five (35) years ago, to offer a common and united front for persons in building and civil engineering construction to dialogue effectively with the Government of Ghana through our sector Ministry (Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing) for the development and growth of the industry and for the economic benefit of the nation.
The Association has Membership Strength of approximately 1,285 Companies, including 21 Foreign Contractors and still counting. The Association is headquartered in Accra with Branches in all the ten (10) Regions of Ghana.
The Association is composed of Construction firms in the class categories of D1K1 to D4K4. Grade “D1K1” rates the highest while grade “D4K4” is the lowest. The rating is based on the availability of certain key resources such as Personnel, Office Space, Equipment base, Financial capacity and any other necessary resources determine by the Association.
